2015 Cross-Cultural Creative Lab (CCLab)
The theme of 2015 Cross-cultural Creative Lab (CCLab) is The Myth. We select Chinese mythos “Kuafu” and Italian tale “Pinocchio” to be our main works. We invite one American scholar/director and one Italian actor to join our project as well as to be co-creators in this project.
Cross-cultural Creative Lab (CCLab) is an international exchange project. Foreign artists are invited to the ESP-I Performing Arts Group in Taiwan to exchange creative ideas. For us, the process of exchanging is as important as the works it generates in the end. The artists are introduced into an experience where they are involved within Taiwanese living, during which they also extract inspiration for further creations. They will co-produce with Taiwanese artists within a limited amount of time “the works at the moment” by mutual brainstorming, and will have to exert their expertise on our Taiwanese theater, which could hopefully ignite sparks of ingenuity and make the cultural exchange experience truly fulfilled. The project will be choreographed via s series of activities, including on-stage performance of the project creation, training workshops, forums and visiting tours.
